About Tom

Tom Richardson

Tom is a seasoned executive with over 30 year's experience. Prior to establishing his own business in 1993, Tom had a successful management career spanning 18 years at Shell & Kodak.

Tom is qualified with a B.Bus (Marketing) from Monash University, Melbourne Australia.

He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM) and an Associate Member of the Australian Marketing Institute (AMAMI). He is a Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM).

At Shell Australia, Tom held several management positions in the Downstream Oil division, including Regional Sales Manager where he was responsible for sales of $M450 and the management of a team of 6 direct reports as well as a network of over 100 dealers and distributors.

At Kodak, he set up the Kodak Express Brand Licensing (Franchise) program in Australia where he was awarded the "Kodak Day" prize for excellence and a trip to Kodak Head Office in Rochester, New York.

Tom returned to the oil industry as National Sales & Marketing manager for Ampol and developed the national convenience store chain - Ampol Road Pantry. This involved building a network of 37 fuel and convenience store outlets around Australia, the recruitment of a national sales team of 8 executives and national TV, radio and local area marketing for a new brand in the market.

In 1993, Tom founded his own business, Richardson Management Pty Ltd and specialises in the disciplines of Executive Coaching & Leadership, Marketing Strategies & Sales Force Development.

Tom is a qualified Executive Coach, having successfully completed a comprehensive program under the tutelage of Peter Stephenson, who is widely considered to be the founder of Executive Coaching in Australia, and author of best selling books Executive Coaching and The Naked Executive.
